Here's my two cents, for what it's worth. Are you a pussy for forgiving this guy, and for telling him why you were pissed off? No. It's not worth carrying around that kind of anger. After all, you were lucky to find out about Crystal when you did. I've known people who progressed into bed and into the other person's apartment and even into marriage before finding out about Crystal. So, for what it's worth, if I was in your situation I would try to forgive him. I would never speak to him again, but I would forgive him, or at least I would try to. And it's not just straight guys who do this, though they do a lot of it. I've known married men who pick up guys on the side, then go home to their wives at the end of the night. And a woman once moved in with me, without mentioning to me that she was planning on moving out in the summer when the guy she really loved came back to town. I know a woman who had two long-term committed relationships with other women. Both ended the same way, with the sudden discovery that her lover had another lover, and in both cases it was a close mutual friend (not the same one). The "can we still be friends?" thing is a pet peeve of mine. I dislike the phrase "just friends" also. Like "lovers" is #10 on an invisible scale somewhere, and "friends" is down around #5 or so. Friends, real friends, are at least as precious as lovers, and they're much more likely to last your whole life (if you value them and put some work into the connection). One of the closest friends I have is the first woman I had sex with. She's been married to another of my closest friends for over 20 years. At this point, it's easy to forget we were ever lovers, but my life would be very different without her friendship. I was thinking of this when Victoria posted about her "friends" who turned their backs on her the minute she stopped living up to their idea of how she should act. If friendship is that easily turned off, it wasn't real friendship to begin with. Real friendship has nothing to do with what guys mean when you find out about Crystal and they say, "can we still be friends?" Usually that just means, "will you act friendly towards me so I won't have to think about what a shit I am?" On an entirely different subject, why is all the tour information being posted to this list? The list of dates was in the last digest *twice*. There *is* a ToriTour list, after all, and I'm sure most people here are on it. Does the information have to be posted in both places? As I sit at the computer, I'm listening to the Little Earthquakes album...replaying "Precious Things" like crazy...that song is wonderful. It reminds me of 7th grade, just like Tori sings about "7th grade, running after Billy, running after the rain" I pull my chair in closer and get old gum on my hand from under the chair...shit, some people are just sick! In my Spanish class I see my new friend, Jamie. She's so cool and creative. Her clothes are so unique and bright. She makes a lot of her clothes...that's so cool...she's also a musician (guitarist). I eat lunch with her and her friends and they barely notice I'm alive. I know they aren't trying to ignore me, but they don't know me that well and I guess that don't want to ask me anything. Soon the ice will break...I hope soon though. So, you know how I was talking about the really cool guy in my guided study class that's really nice and good looking, etc. Well, I was waiting for a few more flaws and I found one very big one. He used the word "faggot". First David, the "I'm Not In Love" guy, and now Lonell. The only thing is, Lonell didn't mean it like he was dissing a gay guy...he said it as like he was saying, Stupid, or something like that...but there is absolutely no excuse to use that word in any other context when you know what it means. No one should ever use that word unless they are using it to make a point-a good cause, proving how bad it is. Well of course in cooking class I wash and dry the dishes again because that's my job. I will never learn how to cook if I never do it...I feel that I do want to only do the dishes sometimes, and sometimes I want bigger jobs...I feel like if I get a bigger job I'll mess it up, and I feel like if I only do the dishes I will fail the class. I'm so confused. Whenever I even try to help, they just do it because they don't even give me a chance. Just because I'm 4'10 does not mean they can walk over me! In English we're working on a tablo...I'm nervous for the performance on Monday. It's not that big of a performance, but I'm still nervous. We had project a while ago where we wrote an essay about someone else in the class after they filled out a paper about themselves and put a fake name on it. I wanted to know what someone wrote about me (my fake name was Li'l Rose) and I asked the teacher if I could read it and she said that since the guy who wrote it about me is gone she'd let me...I did and I almost cried because it was so sweet! I wanna ask me if I can have it, but I'm a little intimidated by him, but I'm still gonna ask. Last night I had my friend Dan over and we had a blast just laughing and watching movies, etc. Right now I'm just chillin' on the computer with a sore back listening to "Sugar" by Tori while having a T-shirt on that says SUGAR...lol Julie H.
