  [ =======================>  In RDT History  <======================= ]

[Oops. Sort of forgot to put this one in.]

On September 30th in 1993, the ubiquitous non-Tori-content discussion.

In 1997, a parody of Falco's "Rock me Amadeus" titled "Rock me
Tori Amos" is posted to the list:

She's got a Bosendorfer and a lot of girls
And she takes them out to play all over the world
She's not the most popular or the most famous
But we know she's the best, so rock me Tori Amos

In 1998, a lot of members are all happy over the shows they
will be seeing in the near future, and responses to "how does
Mark handle Tori singing a song like 'Song For Eric'?".

In 2000, capping off a very quiet day in RDTRN history, a
member posts about the digests getting shorter.

  [ =======================>  In RDT History  <======================= ]

On October 2nd in 1994, a mention of a radio report that
Courtney Love is dating Trent Reznor, wondering if Tori could
be bisexual, someone notices that Tori is mentioned in the
November 1994 Playboy article "Women in Rock," which
appropriately bring me to this X-rated question posed by a
     member (no pun intended):

you know i never would have noticed this if it hadn't
happened just before "icicle" but when tori is completely
back-lit, as in silhouetted, and stands up and bobs about as
she often does, she looks rather phalic. obscure lighting
        accident, or intentional subliminal?

In 1997, more volunteers stepping up to "Adopt An AOLer".

In 1998, folks tackling the question of why it is that most
Toriphiles are also NIN fans (especially when the opposite
     doesn't seem to be true).

Well, I think most of you have an idea of who I call "I'm Not In Love"
guy...David.
Anyways, I was just sitting with him before and he said in a friendly way,
"Hey Julie, what have you been doing?" I said, "Not much." and he asked me
if I had a boyfriend...I told him the truth and said, "No.", then he said,
"I do, she's a freshman." I just nodded and went back to my work...then he
was talking to his friend about his new girlfriend...the feeling that I had
about this conversation about the other girl was not envy...it was anger and
heartbreak because of the sick feeling of crush I have for him and how that
other girl has his affection now. Then he starts mouthing off to teachers
and using awful words like "retarded" ina way to offend someone. I don't
like when people do that...Some people are really mentally retarded, he
likes to use that as an insult. That's another one of his big flaws. As I
listened to him talk, I'm still noticing and very aware that he is a jerk,
and very ignorant, but for some reason my strange heart still feels for
him...I don't understand.

I'm not in love with him!

I really hope so atleast!

amos's america

REVERED SINGER/SONGWRITER Tori Amos finds a new home with Epic after
spending her entire 15-year-career on Atlantic. Scarletís Walk (October 29)
marks the occasion and finds the explorative Amos carving yet another
unique musical path: this time, offering a historical, cultural and
geographical survey of the U.S.

Amosís 2001 pressing, Strange Little Girls (ICE #174), debuted at #4 on the
Billboard chart and comprised transformed ó and, in many cases,
indistinguishable ó re-imaginations of reputed songs ranging from The
Beatlesí "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" to Eminemís "97í Bonnie & Clyde."

For her ninth disc, Amos turns the focus to America, mapping out a loosely
defined characterís travels that begin on the West Coast and conclude on
the Eastern seaboard, touching on many of the areas in between. Topics
range from Native American history to Andrew Jackson to Prince, with a
strong September 11 resonance throughout.

The disc also stands as one of Amosís lengthiest, tickling the 75-minute
mark with its 17 original tracks. She tampers with conventional song
titling in many instances, opting for all-lower case lettering at times.
The full track list: "a sorta fairytale," "Amber Waves," "another girlís
paradise," "Carbon," "Crazy," "donít make me come to Vegas," "gold dust,"
"I canít see New York," "mrs. jesus," "pancake," "Scarletís Walk,"
"strange," "Taxi Ride," "Virginia," "warmup prayer," "Wednesday" and "your
cloud."

"From a commercial standpoint, the music is incredibly accessible ó the
melody is so there," VP of East Coast Marketing Ceci Kurzman tells ICE.

okay my clock says 12:16 and I'm 21 now.. so.. *GRIN!* that's all
I can say. :P ON WITH THE REPLIES!!!!!!!!!!!

The retro said: "In 1998, pussy."
the word or the body part?

Simon in reply to my subject saying"puppy dogs and hummingbirds":
"Instead of snakes, why can't there be cults that worship these? ;)"
I dunno.. for that sense of danger? Pentecostals play with snakes
cuz, so I understand, they charm 'em.. lol I guess maybe they'd play with
'em if the hummingbirds had west nile and the puppy dogs were rabid, huh?
:D

Simon: "It's me again!"
oh no! hide! ;) just kidding dude. it's ME you people should be
hiding from! :D

Simon complimented on my Tori poem from her songs (original and
covered).. thanks. :)

Jim explained what Skinemax is.. well.. um.. what I wanna know is.. is it
REAL PENETRATION type porn or is THAT aspect of it fake? thanks for the
info you supplied me btw. :)

Ade said to my "totally draggin'.. poo." comment: "draggin' poo again,
eh? well, i guess those fields needed to be fertilized anyway... :D"
DONT twist my words around like thaaaaat! rofl

Ade mentioned reading a book called "sex and gender" or something..
sounds interesting.. educate us!! lol

Ade said: "i just had a thought. penelope taynt from "the amanda show"
looks just like a younger version of tori's "new age" persona." and
supplied us with the link..
HOLY TESTICLE TUESDAY, SHE DOES!!!! o_O

Linda, good luck with the sky diving! :)

Linda also explained stuff about playing Tori for her daughter and
stuff.. yeah that plays RIGHT into my thoughts of Tori's music not being
for the 9-10 year olds and more for, at the youngest, the 13-15 year
olds..

Julie mentioned that she finally kissed her "I'm Not In Love" guy in her
dream.. wanting to kiss a guy and not mess with a relationship doesn't
make you a slut by the way.. no worries there.. but.. YAY! :) that's all
for now, peeps! :) ciao!!

The odds of both kids having Tori as the first thing they hear are probably
very high, but there will actually be more Tori on this tape. About the
whole first half the tape will be the same. But I'll actually be fixing it
up tomorrow, so I'm still not entirely sure what will make it on.

His current job is basically testing the wiring of these new trains that are
being built (and then re-wiring half of it because the idiots didn't do it
properly), and as part of that they have to be driven on lines, so you may
as well take someone along who can fix the problem if one arises. And it's
probably cheaper to give him a bit more training than to hire someone
specifically to test drive the trains.

Hopefully by the time this reaches your inboxes Tiarna's webpage should be
updated. But just in case it's not, I won't officially announce it. :)

On the speculation of a Tori Downunder visit, all I can think of it being
is a whirlwind promotional tour. Artists always say they'll be back for a
real tour but very few of them ever do.

That Jaymes dude is still getting around? He should be locked up... he
can't even spell his own name right.

In 1718, Jessica asked after coughing up furballs...
>so guys, what's the point for a female to have pubic hair or is that the
>*real* reason you want us to shave it off?

While Lavs did cover this in #1720, I'll elaborate. How many women enjoy
kissing bearded men? Very few (just ask me for an example). Why? Beard
rash. Why do men like the short and curlies shaved off? Same reason. Rash
from the bearded oyster. Actually, I think the reason men like it shaved
off is that they're the ones who want to wield the razor.

Simon replied:
> > Maybe I'll remember when I get my pictures back.
>
>better hope the last pic on the roll turns out to involve toothbrushes. no
>one broke into your hotel room, right?

It took me a while to figure out what you were getting at there. There
weren't any abused toothbrush photos but you'll have to ask Beth, Holly and
Redstamen for more details.

Cyndi was perplexed to my response in #1719...
>Brian answered my "what's the point of pubic hair?" question: "So that
>when you're in Tasmania you'll always know where you are."
> and just exactly how do you mean? lol.. o_O

Grab a map of the world. Find Tasmania. It's right at the arse end of
Australia, which was underlined by Jerry Seinfeld when he toured here and
claimed Melbourne was the "anus of the world". Now what does Tassie look
like? For the map impaired, Tasmania is the shape of a pubic thatch.

Lavs wrote on becoming pregnant in #1720:
>No, and while I was in Syd in late January, a) I didn't catch up with him
>and b) it was really too early even for me to catch anything off the train
>seats.

How about c) I catch the train every weekday and those trains do get
around, even though it may take some time.

Lavs shared in #1721:
>Subject: Tasmanian pubic hair
>http://www.abc.net.au/science/k2/lint/results.htm
>scroll down to 'Degree of snail trail hairiness'.

While I haven't read it, I know that lint can only go in one possible
direction if it contains the phrase "degree of snail trail hairiness".

Simon asked:
>Just what the hell are people there doing on the trains? I've heard about
>the "Mile High Club" for air travelers, but I can't see anything remotely
>similar for people riding aboard trains.

It's got very little to do with sex, or should I say, sex with another
person. If you ask someone that rides country trains or off-peak suburban
trains regularly, you'll hear some real horror stories. Beavis and Butthead
are cultured compared to some of the guys that take the train.

*frowns* I dunno if this is gonna come off as selfish on MY part,
but if it does, I'm sorry. As much as I liked him.. (he was a nice guy) I

I don't think it's the first show, Simon. It's on December 1st, 2002...I
think Tori's Scarlet's Walk tour starts earlier. Check
http://thedent.com/torimain.html and you can see the dates. I think it
might be on ticketmaster.com also.

Yeah, I know Simon, that's what I was saying too. I know that any way you
say a certain word like that, doesn't lessen the cruelness.

Yes Simon, we are working on the way our puppy, Colby behaves, etc. I mean,
otherwise from that and sometimes tearing things up...he is a very well
behaved, polite, sweet, kind, loving puppy.

I don't blame Tori for her own rape at all. Wearing sexy close is not a
sign on her forehead saying "rape me" It just isn't...It was that awful
man's own fault that he is a sick individual for raping someone.

just put the gun to his head and pulled the fucking trigger. real nice,
Randy. good job. *grr* did he NOT have the decency--if he was gonna kill

Subject: SICK SICK HOLDING ON TO HIS PICTURE!!!

10/1/02
1:42 pm

"Sick, sick, holding on to his picture...dressing up every day...I wanna
smash his face, that beautiful boy, that Christian boy, so he can make me
cum, it doesn't make him Jesus!"

I swear, I got sick with a head ache and a weird kind of dizzy feeling
yesterday and I think it had something to do with the fact that I heard
David talking about his new girlfriend and talking about other girls and
saying mean things to others and making fun of me and then being polite,
etc. It's like, I really don't like him...but at the same time I do. It's
so frustrating that I even care about him. ERR! I'm going insane...this is
ridiculous. SICK SICK, HOLDING ON TO HIS PICTURE. I swear, "Precious
Things" means so much to me...hits home in a different way.
