Jessica, I know what you are talkin' about sista! Hang in there, if you is

should send this girl an E-mail or write her a letter, call her, whateva and
tell her that you are really pissed that she went on a date with someone

Good luck sweetie.

The song "Crazy" reminds me a little bit of David...by now you probably all
know who he is.
That is the only story I'm gonna continue telling you all though...anyways,
I'll type one of the most personal heart breaking stories of my life later
on today or tomorrow or something like that.
I'm absolutely in love with the song "Gold Dust" As I listened to it I saw
gold glitters floating in the air. *sighs and smiles*
All of the songs are wonderful.

and to "Julie H." on faith and religion:
I believe in faith. In that to handle everyday one must have faith in
-something-. One's self is best :)
Faith in friends is -needed-...
But religious faith?
I'm Wiccan. With leanings towards Sufi Islam. No I can't explain.
I've studied a lot and explored a lot - which is fun. Mostly since I settled
onto Wicca (or more like vice versa) - then exploring lots more fun.
Pretty much having certainties, solidities, and things one can count on
(basically, faith :) is a good thing though.
But I'll stick by how the old Norse handled things: I believe what I believe.
If you tell me that I'm wrong, get out of my face before you cause more
trouble than you're willing to handle. I don't care what you believe in, but
I will support you - as long as you don't try and push me around.
*battlegrin*
They were a pretty fierce people. Actually, all the Christian missionaries
that visited their countries died until they stopped telling people their
beliefs were wrong.... that's the history thing but I suspect I'd be the same
way in that society. Good thing modern days are much more laid back :)

Hi Vikki!
Welcome to RDT, although I do not post very often, you might see me from
time to time...
How great you discover Tori! Isn' t she the greatest ? :)
Well, you are pretty close to have all her releases as far as albums go! :)
You might want to add in the future to your collection, To venus & back ,
and Strange Little Girls.
To venus and Back, is a 2- cd Set:
Cd1: is a new set of studio tracks called VENUS ORBITING, really wonderful
and hauting. My personal favourites are: Juarez (love the electronic loops
and treated vocals!), Glory of the 80's, Lust, Josephine, Datura (Wow, is
Wicked!), and 1,000 Oceans (lovely!).
Cd2: is a Live set recorded from different shows during her 1998 Plugged' 98
Tour when she toured with a Band for the first time, is almost a MUST for
every fan since it includes:
Precious Things: the live version is AWESOME.
Cruel: also very awesome live, a must have.
Bells For Her: This version is probably, leaving out the delicate Album
version, the most haunting reworked version for this track, the Piano loop
wil stick to your Brain !
Cloud On My Tongue: Very touching, love this version.
Sugar: The most cruel and powerful version you will find! :)
The Waitress: You will absolutely want this one, after hearing you will play
the track back, becuase you will probably be in desbelief, is THAT awesome.
:)
As far as STRANGE LITTLE GIRLS goes, the album is quite controversial. It is
FOR ME very much interesting inded, since Tori took a set of songs that men
wrote for/about women and she canalizes them through her own voice and
intentions without changing a single word.
Some say that this is not very good or interesting because it is not really
all Tori, but it really has some interesting points: the C.R.E.E.P.Y remake
of Eminem's '97 Bonnie and Clyde, the sweet piano driven cover of Depeche
Mode's Enjoy The Silence, Rattlesnakes (A very longing track), and the
otherwordly and chilling version of Slayer's Raining Blood as an almost
funeral tone to it. Perhaps is not essential, but if you enjoy Tori and love
just hearing her voice, you will surely enjoy this one as much as I did :)
Welcome to Tori World Vikki !
See ya Soon :)
Daniel

I noticed that you email address is a co.uk one, so I'm guessing you're in
the UK (yes I'm clever!:p). According to The Dent, the UK (or was it all of
Europe?) limited editions of Scarlet's Walk do not contain as many extras.
I got a bit pissed that I pre-ordered the regular cd with an Amazon coupon
and then lost my discount when I canceled that order cos the limited
edition was posted later.
I love Tori, I know I'll love this album when it finally arrives, but I'm a
little sick of the marketing. The thing I always loved about Tori was that
she was focused on her music. She wasn't popular and she didn't need to be.
She built this huge fan base with her talent. She has so many fans, yet she
still maintained that feeling that she was a treasured secret to each of
us. I hate to see her turn into a marketing tool like so many artists.

Hi all!
I haven't posted for awhile....been more busy at work
than any human should be allowed to. So busy *gasp*
that I haven't listened to the Scarlet's Walk cd
yet...but that will change today- I'm gonna play it
while I'm working today. I initially ordered the
limited ed thru Borders/Amazon but they gave an
estimated delivery time of Nov 7-13 (??????). I
didn't want to wait that long so I went down to a
usually more expensive CD place close to work and got
it (limited ed) for only $2 cheaper than what Borders
had it listed for. I was thrilled and opened
immediately after I got back to work....
Julie H. said:
"My charm for the limited edition Scarlet's Walk box
set was a dove. My brother got a bus. What did you
all get?"
I got a green and yellow snake- it's kinda springy
like (I don't have it with me, so I forget what it's
made of). I was actually hoping for a pewter
something or other that wouldn't have a possiblity of
getting lost so easily. But I'm still happy I got the
limited edition! Keep posting what you all got, I'm
really curious to see what else was out there!
Gotta get to work- but after reading some of the
reviews here, I'm excited to get familiar with SW.
I'm so excited that it's a long CD- in that sense it
reminds me of BFP (I know TVAB was long, but that had
live stuff- this is all studio tracks). SF presale
happens Friday AM.....think happy thoughts for me that
I will get out of my meeting in time to get tickets!!

So I just bought Scarlet's Walk about 15 minutes ago.
I walked into Sam Goody and the [HOT] guy who worked
there asked me if I needed help. I said that I was
looking for the new Tori Amos cd. He said that they
were out of them, but oh wait! They have one copy of
the limited edition. Did I want the regular
version... my answer: "Yeah, but only because she's
being a whore with this cd." I meant it as a joke,
but still... I said it.
Long story short, I got the limited edition cd for $5
off. Not a bad deal.
I'm sorry, Tori!!!
I think I'm gonna listen to it later when I get out of
work, so I can actually absorb it a little.
Happy Halloweenie, everyone!
