Oh my God, I am so thankful that my brother and I have the same taste in
music...well, most of the stuff atleast. He's introduced me to so many
people's music that I love. My brother introduced me to (their music):
Janet Jackson
Tori Amos
Alanis Morissette
Fiona Apple
Bjork
TLC
etc. etc. etc. etc. THE LIST GOES ON!
A few monthes ago he introduced me to Meshell Ndegeocello, she's great.
She's very unique. She's got a very creative and unique sound. The song
"Barry Farms" (number 7 on her new album, Cookie: The Anthropological
Mixtape by Meshell Ndegeocello) is one of the sexiest songs I've ever heard
in my life!
If there was no music in life I think I would just die...I'm tellin' you,
music is so much for me. I feel uncomfortable anytime I'm on the computer
and there's no music or just sitting in my room or something like that...it
just feels so uncomfortable. It's strange. Music is so much. The songs
that I truly relate to I listen to all the time. I wish I had the lyricist
and dancing talent of some of my favorite artists. I have singing talent
though. I'm a good writer, but I'm not good at writing lyrics...I mean, I
can try and see what I come up with, but I don't know. I wish I had musical
instrument talent also. I mean, if I really worked at it, like piano, I'm
sure I could do it, but everytime I take lessons I kinda just lazy myself
out of it and practicing. My brother is a pianist and a brilliant one I may
add. He's played many Tori songs by the way. He played "Liquid Diamonds"
at a piano recital. He played "Bells For Her" at his high school graduation
ceremony. He played "Little Amsterdam" at his high school recital.
Anyways, I'm just in love with music and I just wanted to blurt that out on
my thoughts board.
My brother needs the 'puter so I gotta go.
I'm gonna watch American Idol later...I'm so excited!
Current mood: Excited, content, relaxed
Current sounds/music: "Barry Farms" by Meshell Ndegeocello, "Pocketbook" by
Meshell Ndegeocello
Current place: My family room

When I was giving those song titles to Meshel Ndegeocellp's songs, I made an
error on the song titles. The song that I called "Pocketbook" is actually
called "Barry Farms" and the one that I called "Barry Farms" is actually
called "Trust"
So, "Barry Farms", "Trust", and "Pocketbook" remix with Rockwilder, Missy
Elliott, Redman, and Tweet are the best songs from that album that I've
heard so far. "Trust" is one of the sexiest songs I ever heard!
The album is called Cookie: The Antropological Mixtape by Meshell
Ndegeocello
Current mood: Content and hot
Current sounds/music: People talking around me and my typing
Current place: The third computer in the library from the back.

Subject: The Incredible, Edible Vomit (Cuts Vomit Time In Half!)
Over Christmas, I bought a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and went
around trying to talk everyone into eating a vomit-flavored one. I figured
if *I* could do it, *anyone* could.
I couldn't believe that everyone was more chicken than I am, weak-stomached
wimp that I've always been. I must admit, though ... vomit did nearly make
me vomit. It was so odd ... it looked like candy, smelled like candy, had
the sweet crispy shell of candy, and in the center: vomit. Definitely,
unmistakeably, without a doubt, vomit. (I chewed it up, but I did have to
spit it out in the end because if I hadn't, more than a Bertie Bott bean
was going to come up and out. Seriously.)
The only other person who had the balls to try all the nasty flavors was my
brother. And he swallowed. I was so proud of him.
Vomit tasted sort of like parmesan cheese. Bad parmesan cheese. Sweet bad
parmesan cheese. Ugh.
Dirt was interesting. Grass wasn't bad at all. (Sadly not the marijuana
kind, which would have been quite exciting and interesting I think, but the
regular front lawn kind.) I didn't think earwax and booger were bad.
(Earwax tasted sort of fruity, like a tropical pineapple-y drink mixed with
some other not-quite-describable flavor. That must have been the earwax
part.)
The one I couldn't stomach at all was sardine. I love sardines, but not
sweet sardines. It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been so
over-the-top fishy-tasting. That's what really turned my stomach. It
pretty much went the way of the vomitbean, getting spit down the kitchen
sink (though much faster than the vomit one, which should tell you
something), and I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth for the longest
time. Or out of my mind, either. I kept thinking about it at the worst
moments ... like when I was in the middle of Christmas dinner at the
seafood restaurant for example. Urp! Just thinking about it now....
<shudders>
The spinach tasted just like spinach, the snozzberries tasted just like
snozzberries (sorry, just checking to see if you're paying attention).
Black pepper was nearly too peppery. But really, not so terribly bad.
Sure, I'd eat it again if I had to.
I had a bean scare at one point. The vomit-flavored beans were right next
to the tutti-frutti beans (my all-time favorites), and I had one horrible
frightening moment when I found a vomitbean in with the tuttis. They look
so very nearly alike, but somehow not quite the same. My eye caught a
peripheral glimpse of the little fucker, dangerously swimming in there with
the sweet pretty innocent beans, rubbing its barfy little body all over
them lasciviously. My heart skipped a beat, I broke into a cold sweat, and
fished it out with trembling fingers. That was CLOSE. A tragic bean
mishap, narrowly averted.
And now I'm sitting here looking at the box, all the good-flavored beans
gone, and only the ucky ones remaining. I have absolutely no idea what to
do with them. They'd be great for a practical joke, simply putting them
into a candy dish and letting nature take its course. But they're so nasty
that I would never have the heart to do that to anyone. No ... you have to
go into a vomit or sardine or booger bean with eyes wide open. You just
have to.
So I guess I'll look at them for a while and then evetually throw them away.
Such a waste.
Well, I might have a couple more grass and dirt and spinach before they go.
Anyways, http://www.bewarethecheese.com/jellybellywarning.htm pretty much
sums it up.
Yes, indeed ... RUN.

Subject: Song for Eric, March 8th, and man hips
I think my email got messed up when I was trying to
send this a few days ago, so here I go again:
-------------------
Thanks, Bethany! That version of SfE really is
phenomenal. I've always liked it as an a cappella
song, but jeez, you were exactly right... the remix
blows it away.
I feel the same way about the remix of Bells for
Her... I love the original song, but that remix is
just so well done and sorrowful, that I tend to favor
listening to it over the original.
I love the little bits of talking in the background on
the SfE mix, too... I always go for that sort of
thing, like in the "just another drive" remix of Hey
Pretty, by Poe, where her brother reads the passage
from House of Leaves. *So orgasmic*.
Thanks again. :-)
Sooo.... [gushy squealy excited girl voice] I got
tickets to see Tori on March 8th!! [/gushy squealy
excited girl voice] I have no one to go with, but I'm
goin'. Hell yeah.
Jessica asked what body parts we find sexy.... well, I
don't know if I can quite describe this, but I like it
when guys have hips, almost-sorta-kinda. When I say
hips, I don't mean, like, my hips, where you can
notice them from a front view. But from the side, I
like nice, grabbable asses that kinda stick out a bit,
and slide into a slightly thinner waistline. I can't
even think of any famous guys who have that body type,
but damn, it's so freakin' hot. I like nice hips on
women, too... probably where it comes from.
Anyway, that's enough to make me want to have sex with
a guy. *It's a good thing that very few guys have
that exact body type.*
I can't believe how busy I've been lately. I hope
everyone's doing well in RDTRN land.
~Linda~

I haven't posted in FOREVER, I know. I thought I had maybe
been forgotten, but not too much since I got a bunch of
Birthday wishes. Thank you, thank you!!
My world has been INSANE lately. I am moving on Feb 1. My
dad kicked me out of his house on Christmas Eve becausse his
girlfriend is moving in and she doesn't like us. It is
okay, though, since it is time for me to move on now that
I'm 24. We (my son and I) are getting an apartment that is
right next to his elementary school. How perfect is that?
It doesn't make much of a difference now since he's only in
kindergarten and isn't old enough to walk home and be home
alone yet. Maybe if we still live there in a couple years.
Next week is the trial for my friend, Rob, who was driving
the 4-wheeler in the accident that killed my best friend
last year. I am nervous about that. I have been subpeonad
as a witness for the prosecution. I don't want anything to
do with the trial. I want to go about my day and have
someone call me and tell me what his sentence is. I'll just
have to suck it up and go. I can't wait until it's all over
and, hopefully, some people can have some closure on the
horrible loss of an amazing person.
Dreams - this is weird because I have plane crash dreams.
Every time there is a big, publicized plane crash, I have
had a dream about a plane crash within the past couple
nights. In October, when Senator Wellstone (my favorite)
died in a plane crash, I had a dream the night before that
was exactly how they described his plane crash. It happened
before JFK Jr. and Sept. 11 too. Very weird!
Wampum Prayer - I LOVE IT!!!
I am not going to reply too much since I had to delete a
bunch of digests due to a lack of time and I have almost 2
weeks worth to catch up on. I don't want to reply to a
bunch of stuff that you are all so over. Just wanted to pop
in and say hi. Hope all is well.

It may just be me, but does anybody else listen to Scarlet's
Walk and picture the whole thing being a musical? I can
imagine the scene for each song and I believe it would play
out very nicely. Wednesday, especially, just sounds like a
show tune to me. That was how the thought originally came
about. Maybe?
