Subject: The Prez's Gone Crazy

I've been meaning to get my shit together on this for weeks now.

Here's a vaguely possible scenario involving George W. Bush and Colin
Powell set to the tune of Eminem's "My Dad's Gone Crazy". It is in no way
meant to resemble reality, but who really knows what reality is these days
anyway?

"The Prez's Gone Crazy"

Scene: Oval Office: TV playing in the background showing Dr. Strangelove,
the part where General Jack Ripper is mulling over Peace On Earth. You can
hear the sound of cocaine being snorted in the foreground. Door opens...

Colin Powell: Prez, what are you doing?

George W. & C.P: Okay then! Everybody listen up!

George W.: I'm goin' to hell! Who's comin' with me???!?

Colin Powell: Somebody please help him! I think the Prez's gone crazy...

Verse 1
There's no country I can't bomb, there's no authority too high, no dictator
that I can't learn to fry/ what's the world gotta do to get through to you?
Saddam there's nothin' I can't take this napalm to. /No more inspections,
we're gonna have a Gulf war, you pissed me off, so I'm gonna nail your ass
since you take your time and stall/ I'm sayin' it's time to get your ass up
against the wall, you're out of time, you've been lyin' your ass off/ All
this time me and Tony Blair been plannin' to blast off (Bomb it, George).
So tell "Old Europe" and the U.N. to back off/ before I push this big red
button and blast off and launch one at these Iraqis and that's not all/blow
every thing except Canada on the map off. When will the penny drop? When
will you stop jackin' us off?/ Colin, tell 'em man,( The Prez's Lost It!!)

Chorus
There's really nothin' else to say, I... I can't explain it/(I think the
Prez's gone crazy) / A little help from Donald Rumsfeld and don't forget
Dick Cheney/(I think the Prez's gone crazy) / I couldn't get Osama so let's
go get Saddam now/(I think the Prez's gone crazy)/There's no one on earth
that can save him, not even maybe/(I think the Prez's gone crazy)

Verse 2
It's like my father always told me, ah-er ah-er ah-er ah-er ah-er ah-er
ah-er ah-er and gasoline and/ goddammit that little camel-fucker Saddam
since I didn't kill him now it's your turn, son. Fuck him/…..uh, fuck that
bitch I'm gonna make him suck on my dick and drop/ a million megaton bombs
per second, I'm gonna set a muthafuckin' nuking record/He's gonna be a
pussy whipped bitch, eat lead, and have his moustache glued to a grenade
with the ring in his nose then I pull it and he blows/ quick, give me the
ammo. Then you'll see his spleen! If you'd showed your ammo we'd left you
alone but then you still say "NO"/ I wouldn't have to go, eenee, meenee,
meini, mo, catch Osama by his toe, man you got no time no more/am I the
only fuckin' one can see this any more?/(George...)

Chorus

Verse 3
My bombs can make you die, take you by surprise, put your head between your
thighs and kiss your ass goodbye and it's about time/see what you're seein'
is the "Alliance of the Willing" at work, which to me isn't a joke, so you
shoulda declared your weapons at first/cus when I speak, don't give me
cheek, it's too late sheik now you're up to your neck in dung/you're time
it comes, get struck by my rockets twice at once and die and then you'll
know your time is done/then we can say "Let the oil flow on", else you'll
be hit with shit everytime the U.S. comes/like that's one thing you can
count on. More pain inside of my brain worse than an ice-cream headache/
since a plane slammed into the World Trade, I'm gonna spit on your grave,
but for now stand by, while we gather, it's Tony B. and George W./and
that's pretty much the gist of it, the Muslims are pissed but the rednecks
love it. 9 millimeter will kill you just as well as meat cleavers/I don't
blame you, I wouldn't let anyone sane listen to me neither...

Chorus

Powell:
Crazy
Uh-Ha Hmmm
You're scary George!

I've heard that "Rush" (COOL band!) has only had a few songs with the word

Anyone catch a glimmer why "Dire Straits" is now considered country when
they were classic rhythm & blues? :)

Strange groups I'm enjoying lately (outside of the ever-important Tori :):
Garbage (as always), Bif Naked, Tool (of course), System of a Down, KoRn,
Inkubus Sukkubus, Rush, Johny Cash (particularily his cover of "hurt" by
NiN :), Queensryche, and for some reason eminem (though overplayed)...

Anyone else find Johny Cash covering NiN scary? One of the local rock
stations here has been playing it from time to time...

G'day, eh? :)

interesting song. My brother plays it occasionally, I know not much more
about it than that...

I remember a quote one time:
Hunger makes demons of us all.
(Oni?)
It's been so long and I've been hungry so long I've forgotten what it was
like to not be a demon. almost a hungry ghost....

what a strange thought.

I'm playing a demon in a play shortly (Japanese) and have been thinking a
lot. Also this day of all days tends to leave me sad and lonely.

May none of you be hungry
May none of you thirst
May your waiting be fulfilled
May you never be lonely
May your own company always be fulfilling

Hey all,

I had the worst week. I was infected by the Klez virus (weeks ago) and that
opened the door to tons of viruses. I was getting hit with at least 3 a
day. I had to wipe clean and start anew (which means that my address book
is gone for anyone who wants to be on my personal mail list).
SO...

Simon Said:
> (...) Although I need to point out that hydrogen
> cars are a good idea, and there's nothing nuclear about them. Hydrogen
> burns clean and the only thing in the exhaust is steam.

Within the 3000 pages of budget are the details of how to get the hydrogen.
In twenty years, the "Freedom Car" will run on hydrogen created either with
(Bush's first choice) fossil fuels, or nuclear energy. Not only that, but
the grants are being given for a proto-type without any guidelines; like
having to actually create a proto-type. We have hybrids available, why
spend money on something that exists in imagination at this time? Don't we
need the money to recover? I believe in making Sci Fi sci Fact, but not at
a deficit.

the Lion in Winter (and what a Winter it's been!) roared:
>Augh who knows. But I do think the whole Iraq thing is and will be a
>terrible mistake. Nobody likes a bully.

I'm sickened by this whole thing. I can no longer trust anything. It's
easy now to wonder: did our government bring down the shuttle in a failed
attempt to rally the American People by reporting callous statements made by
Iraqi's? Is there more CIA than BIN in the latest bin Laden tapes? Will
some eager feds stage a terrorist attack to make Americans support the war?

And the biggest wonder of them all: Why, oh Why does our government go
after Iraq who MAY have nukes, when North Korea freely admits having them
and has said they will use them on our troops? Why is our President
withdrawing our troops from Korea to station them in the Middle East? And
why is he still the President? Don't the American People have a right to
ask him to leave? He is waging war in OUR Name.

Little Jim's letter to editor was very good. I have to agree. Bush is
extremely dangerous. I have been saying this since before he was s/elected.
He is a bigger threat to the world than Saddam is.

Mr. Jim:
>Moran Faye was born today in Rochester, NY and I am a grandfather.
>I am a very happy man.

Congrats and salutations to Moran Faye. Nurse her on Tori and she will grow
up to be a fine person.

I'm taking my leave. What with the terror alert and snow panic, I think I'm
only safe by "sheltering in place". (btw, how do people breathe if all the
air is sealed out by plastic and duct tape? I say "BREATHE DEEP people" if
the big one drops.)

Ain't the 21st century great? Will any of us survive all the fun?
Fairy Blessings,
Bethey
I'm OK when Everything's not OK
cause it's the Fairies Revenge they say
And I have always been a Fairy.

A lot of you might remember the scene in "Fight Club" where Brad Pitt's and
Edward Norton's characters are discussing who they would fight if they had
the chance. A sample:

"Ok: any historic figure."
"I'd fight Gandhi."
"Good answer."
"How about you?"
"Lincoln."
"Lincoln?"
"Big guy, big reach. Skinny guys fight 'til they're burger."

This week's edition of The Onion presents us with a collection of answers
from celebrities to the question (presumably influenced from "Fight Club"
itself): "Who could you take in a fight?" The responses range from the
thuddingly dull "ooh, I don't fight" to the author of "Fight Club" himself,
Chuck Palahniuk ("Bring it on, Celine, bring it on.")

http://www.theonionavclub.com/avclub3905/avfeature_3905.html

I now pose this amusing question to the rest of you mob out there. Who would
you take in a fight?

There are two options I'd like to have. I'd take on Australia's Prime
Minister John Howard. Those of you overseas who aren't sure who he is might
have seen him recently in Washington either doing his daily power walks in
an awful green and gold tracksuit or crawling further up George W Bush's
arse. The guy's short, and would probably be completely smug and oblivious
to an incoming left hook that I would have no problems knocking him on his
own arse. Of course, if his eyebrows turned into assassin caterpillars, I'd
lose.

On a more personal note, I'd love to go head to head with a few of my more
belligerent male students. A pop to the chops for every time they'd caused
me to curl my lips up, swear under my breath and question my ability in
teaching. Even if I lose I'd take great satisfaction in the fact that I
would've belted them one. That is assuming I -can- sock em in the first
place.

Ball's in your court now, guys. Discuss.

On an even more personal note, I have been called God's gift to the Year 8s
twice this week, apparently the word gets around that I do marvellous things
with my two Year 8 classes and I'm one of the best they've ever seen. I'm
just thankful I don't have the same kids from last year. I secretly let
compliments like that go straight to my head, it puts me in a great mood
which carries through in my teaching, and makes me think for at least one
more week that this teaching thing's not actually half-bad. Especially since
I've been teaching for less than two years.

Of course, I thought I was God's gift to my senior kids too, but I don't
have them this year, despite the fact that we're into week four now and they
still complain bitterly about not having me as their teacher.

Feel free to bring me back down to earth. My social and love life sucks at
the moment, hence why the dedication to the job.

But I did have my first nude photography session last week, in that I was
the photographer. They turned out better than I ever dreamed.

Life through a lens,
Dani.

hee hee! aloha mon amigos! I downloaded the Y Kant Tori Read
album a day or two ago.. it's actually quite fab. I dunno why it
bombed--other than bad timing, perhaps.. heh heh.. and tomorrow (the
15th) is, more or less, my 1-year anniversary of being a Toriphile. ^^
yay. :D Oh and speaking of that.. happy heart day everybody! ^^ on with
the reptilian replies!

Jessica told of her Roe VS Wade anniversary day.. and of those idjuts
steeeeeaaaling over 1000 crosses, the nerve! >< At least you got some
attention towards your cause tho, right? sometimes no publicity is bad
publicity. :D

Bethey had (at the time) a poetry reading to do.. I hope it went well. :D
Same for that support group meeting thaaaaaaang. :D

Welcome back to the list (tho I've only been on here since spring of
2002), John Kwiatkowski! :)

Beth quoted Glenn McDonald.. and I loved it.. and she asked if we felt
similarly to how she feels about how Wednesday could refer to the day
after 9-11.. I certainly think it applies. never thought of it that way,
but it certainly applies.

Megan-roo posted a poem.. Lite.. verily deliciously good. :D

Arija told us about homestarrunner.com .. heh heh.. I've been there
before. ^^ it's okay, and it's definitely chuckle-and-giggle material,
but *SOMETIMES* nothing beats the WEEEEE! squirrel. :D

Jessica, there's nothing wrong with smoking weed as long as you don't do
it when you need that brain of yours to work at its fullest capacity. ^^

Jessica said: "last week my roommate and i played sims when we were
really high and it was GRRRREAT!"
hahah.. what exactly was that like?? :D

Julie: happy birthday! ^^

Julie on Tori's describability and the lack thereof: "Like Cyndi
signature says, when Tori was asked to describe herself in 5 words she
said, "I Do Not Describe Myself""
yeah. that's what I love about her. you can't pigeonhole her.
HOWEVER.. we as humans tend to want to categorize.. organize.. sort
things out.. so when someone like Tori comes along and breaks that apart,
we all have fits.

Winterlion talked about haggis and grosser foods... McDonalds included..
I will try HAGGIS before I ever go back to McDonalds. *gag* PERIOD.

Jim gave us a long email to think about regarding persona.. dude, I LOVE
what you have to say! regarding cars and your persona.. hmm.. so what
would that say about my persona if I got a blue 4-door Taurus? I wonder..

Glad to see that you're still alive, Lavs. :)

I actually wonder, with the Hydrogen argument thing, if we could create
*some* hydrogen with a dirty method.. and then, using the hydrogen we
created, create MORE hydrogen.. or something..? possible?

*worships the sweet SWEET glory of Megan's awesomely dark and beautiful
MERMAID storyyyyyy!*

Winterlion said: "I am not my father. I am not a pacifist - and I am not
a woodworker. I'd like to have anywhere near half his skill actually."
I do NOT mean to sound ignorant and crap, so if I do come off
that way, I do sincerely apologize, but.. I don't get pacifism, really.
I'll avoid a fight if I can, but if someone starts beating the crap outta
me--or trying to, I'll get pissed and start beating back.. (for the
record, I've never been in a fight. o_O) so.. uh.. I don't really
understand pacifism.. would someone care to explain it? ^^

Julie suggested a Director's Chair game.. hey I'm planning on going into
the music video business.. I'm all for it! any other takers??? ^^
speaking of that.. I have some short songfics on fanfiction.net.... based
on that concept, actually.. check 'em out. :D here's the url actually:

Welcome to the list Manuel! :) and congrats muchly on your new grandbaby,
Jim!! a VERY enthusiastic congrats at that! :D I'm still in some
disbelief that I am an aunt. :D

        siiiiiiiick. XD

and on that note... uh....... poit, zort, narf. :D

Subject: johnny cash and NIN

hey I was flipping through the channels the other day when this guy was
talking to me in my room and he made me stop on CMT, country music tv.
anyway, johnny cash did this cover of HURT and it's really fucking good but
so creepy and lonely since he's dying and the video has many younger photos
of himself and religious imagery. check it out, it's a really wonderful
cover. maybe better than the original. it's very very sad.

-jessica. woo. going to my first rugby game tomorrow and i went to the
wonderful, funny and sad VAGINA Ms tonight!!! yay, i just feel like talking
about vaginas now! who's game? woo!
