Brian, no one got any skin irritation from the lube but good to know for
future reference. Something funny did happen. when my roommate and i were in
the kiddie pool, she started laughing REALLY hard and she secretly pointed
out to me that this one guy had this big hard on which of course we thought
was funny. a few days later we went to a party with him there and all night
long when i saw him all i could think was "red shorts boy hard on."
there is this girl sitting next to me (i'm at the computer lab) with a vegan
tattoo. what if she starts eating cow in ten years? why would you get a
tattoo advertising your eating habits? obviously she's hardcore vegan. she
has these other groovy star tattoos too though. anyway, moving on from me
being too critical and looking at random people on a thursday night...
i'm going to be happy to leave my house in a few weeks. living with 55
people is starting to drive me schizo. well, especially one of my roommates.
at least i have a summer off from sleeping in a bunkbed with 7 other girls,
sharing a bathroom with 30 other girls and i can have three whole months of
privacy. it's sick. it's hard for me to sleep in a room by myself now. my
roommate and i got jobs next year at our house. this is even sicker: we get
to FINE people who don't do their jobs! we made sarcastic greeting cards
that say "congrats! you've been fined $5 for not doing this on this day. see
jessica or robyn if you are unhappy. have a nice day." it's funny. i've
noticed that when people are unhappy they bitch around us, not TO us.
anyway, i guess i'll be visiting the bar now.

-jessica, brian's lubed-up babe.

no means yes, yes means harder.

Scotch said, via subliminal thoughts:
" $$$ Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad digest $$$"

hey, i know it's been sparse, but i wouldn't go that far.

anyway, wanted to mention a couple music recommendations before i jet off to
the UK for a month.

1st. Howie Day. I am KICKING myself for not seeing him on the first leg of
Tori's tour. i instead got Rhett Miller at Radio City (oh the pain). Australia
(his first album) - i can't stop listening to it. and i just got the The
Madrigals EP a couple days ago. The music on it is amazing, but the best part
is the accompanying DVD (if only Tori's could've been half as good). i didn't
realize how he performed live, and i'm absolutely fascinated by the way he
loops his vocals and guitar to create some sort of trippy trance techno out of
this typical singer-songwriter guitar and vocal thing. i've never seen anyone
do something like this, but perhaps the guitar geeks on this list can enlighten
me otherwise?

2nd. Neko Case. I've had her album 'Blacklisted' for a couple months now, and i
just got 'Furnace Room Lullaby'. she sounds like the reincarnation of Patsy
Cline, but it's not straight country - the songwriting has this weird, almost
creepy twist to it that isn't anything like "lost my car, lost my dog, lost my
girlfriend" that's stereotypical of country songs. i'd compare her to Lucinda
Williams, but even the vein that Lucinda writes in (the lovelorn one) isn't
anything like what Neko Case is doing. actually, if i had to pick a songwriter
she's like, i'd say she's more like Melora Creager of Rasputina.

i've been shamelessly addicted to MTV Cribs as of late. I really think Tori
should do an episode. btw, i think Cribs has gotten to the point that it's
begging for a parody. wish i had the time and money to do such a thing.

SO....on Monday i'm leaving for the UK for a month - i am visiting London,
Arbroath, Glasgow and points in between. It's my first time overseas...i shall
miss the list but i'll try to send an update from an internet cafe or two if i
can.

til then, i remain respectfully yours,
-bethany

Just a couple of quick comments.

Brian, I have enjoyed seeing your comments these past couple of months on
relationships, attraction, and so on. A lot of what you've said rings very
true for me and has given me a lot to think about. Thank you. :)

And John K. - it's nice to see you posting again.

Beth

Okay I'm clipping it 'cause I'm -sure- that RDT listmanager would get
annoyed if I quoted the whole thing but hey :)
I like your answer!

With her it's cause we're too similar in lots of strange ways. We have a
VERY close friendship - but she's not attracted to me or more precisely she
feels that it's wrong too. (part of me says that's silly and very weird)
most of me agrees it's not the right thing...

Our morality's very similar strangely enough - but we're both afraid of
hurting eachother and peoples around. comes of having rough stuff through
the past and great deals of confusion with attractions and stuff.

there's of course a lot more complications none of which I'll mention...
other than we both have similar tastes in what we like in ladies too.
Oh well that might as well be said - I'm mostly straight and she's mostly
not...

*scritches head* it's still hard to deal with sometimes though. I'm not
used to have anyone close.

right.

Now I -liked- "The Matrix Reloaded". Not really as a standalone movie
though - it doesn't. Stand alone that is.

Am kind of looking forward to "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
(if I remember the name correctly). Hadn't realized it's been 3 years since
the last book (roughly).... I've just finished listening to the first four
in audiobook format at work for the last couple of months... It's been fun
and helped me pay attention at work for a while :)

Oh fun quote (I run "fortune" program)

"He who fears the unknown may one day flee from his own backside."
    - Sinbad

G'day, eh? :)
