Hi!

It would figure that Shawn Colvin would fall into the "new folk" category
with Suzanne Vega, since Suzanne is the reason she has a career now.  She
provided backing vocals on Days of Open Hand, opened for her a few times, and
boom- now she's got a huge record deal with people like Joni Mitchell, Bela
Fleck and Richard Thompson in the studio with her (check out the liner notes
to Fat City- the names in there are AMAZING).   Strange.
