Greetings all. This weekend was catch-up-on-rdt weekend and while there
is much that I may have commented on had I not been reading it up to two
months after the original posting, there was one post that I could not
let go by silently (since nobody else apparently saw fit to follow it up):

IMHO, those black and white photos are not only some of the finest live
concert photos I've ever seen (well, I haven't actually seen the photos
themselves, but you get the idea), they are are exceptionally fine
scans. We owe a great debt of gratitude to ...(I'm 99% sure I remember
who it is we have to thank for these, but rather than performing that
splended maneuver whereby I swing my leg out and plant my foot firmly
between my upper and lower mandibles, I'll refrain) for not only taking
these pictures, but going through the trouble to share them with us.
You know who you are. Thank you.
As for the others having average quality, the first ones were of lesser
quality than the ones that were uploaded later, but they were very
warmly received, as I recall. Consider how lucky we are to have any
at all. There are countless lists which do not have people dedicated
enough to bother.
Finally, as for video stills, I've yet to see any video capture whose
quality could compare to even the worst of the pictures at uwp.
(Admittedly, I haven't seen many such gifs, and I don't know what kind
of technological improvements there have been in that field of late,
but the ones I have seen tend to be washed out pretty bad and of quite
low resolution. The fact that I haven't seen more of such gifs leads
me to believe that things haven't gotten much better (or at least not
affordable).)

Hmm. Kinda rambled on there at the end. Oh well. I've got 2 months
worth of ideas running through my head.

can I blink now,
bob
