[ =======================> In RDT History <======================= ]
On July 6th in 1993, an article from The Washington Post, May
11, 1984 is posted. It contains the quote "Amos, who is also
occasionally known as Tori, may very well be a famous pop star
someday," and gushes about Tori's lounge act.
In 1994, discussion about the "Past the Mission" single,
bootlegs and the creation of rec.music.tori-amos.
In 1995, Tori and performance, ideas for a birthday present for
Tori, sexsexsex, figuring out quotes for the back of an RDT
t-shirt.
In 1999, net and list etiquette, movies, Littleton.
In 2001, tons of on-topic discussion: solo tour, "SLG" concept
and Eminem.

Hola mes amies,
Today was a bad day.
My cat Coco went to the vet today and was diagnosed with cancer, which is
bad. Very very bad. Unbelievably bad. Bad to the point of banging one's
head against the wall because Coco refuses to eat. According to the vet,
the lump is pressed right against her stomach so it makes her feel full or
something like that. Very very sucky. Death sucks. I declare it and so
it must be.
At 4 am today (well, since it's after midnight I suppose the proper term is
'yesterday', technically) my sister called saying that her purse was
stolen, but I don't care about that as much I as I care about the fact that
my cat has a lump, but since I'm discussing random bad things that have
happened to me the past day I figured I'd include it.
So what's with the sudden influx of bad things? I don't get it. It's all
very random, and the strange thing is it all occured directly after posting
that email about feeling bad and icky and invisible and sad.
The thing is, when I posted that, I didn't really have any solid, factual
bad things to support my bad mood, but only the sadness following a sad
movie. But the day afterwards plenty of bad things are occuring and I
still think I'm in denial mode, because I'm just sorta going, "yeah. okay.
uh huh." instead of crying and yelling at people who don't deserved to be
yelled at.
It's kinda odd.
And I feel bad about 2 negative posts in a row that basically consist of me
bemoaning whatever bad thing is going on at the time.
...Not to mention that I haven't replied to anyone who posted yet. Sorry.
I do thank those who replied, however. Merci for paying attention.
Poor kitty. Death is the suckiest thing. How's that for eloquence?

man traveling takes a lot out of me.. lol.. I almost slept till
noon today.. good thing I didn't! anyway.. :D
Jim, your email about growing up was VERY interesting. I have to say that
mentally, maybe (I'm gonna be 21 on October 2), my mental age varies..
sometimes I'm the most mature of the bunch (making my mental age oh, 50..
lol).. and other times, I'm sorta almost like a kid again. *shrug* very
interesting stuff you told us here. :)
Lish said: "and the unconstitutional allegiance to the country.. mmhmm..
if
that's unconstitutional can someone tell me why my money "in god we
trust"
is certainly okay?"
ACTUALLY, there is no actual thing in the constitution (says my
dad.. who is a retired army officer..) that says the church and state
must be divided. Rather, Thomas Jefferson had made a speech hinting at it
and people have taken that and twisted and mangled it so much that we
tend to think it's constitutional to not have "under God" in the pledge..
ALSO.. my dad says "I can remember when they put that part *IN* the
pledge!"... if it wasn't in there in the first place.. why is it such a
big issue for it to be taken back out? *shrugs* Personally, as a
Christian, I kinda have a little trouble with the idea of taking the
"under God" part out, but at the same time, I think some people are
making a little too much out of the issue.
Chris said: "Doesn't anyone but me watch that stupid Idols show on Fox?"
not I.. I never remember to watch TV lol..
Lavs said: "Cyndi, I would love to see Tori tour with an orchestra, as I
adore the songs with orchestration in them. But I don't envision it as
something she will do in the near future, if ever. For the up coming
tour, I expect she'll be touring with a band again." before mentioning
seeing the Neil comment of all the orchestration in a song etc etc..
lol.. what I'd like to see onstage for Tori is.. dancers for an
appropriate song.. like for example (in MY opinion at least.. :))..
Liquid Diamonds.. I'd like to see Tori playing the song.. her and her
band.. and then a small group of people coming out onto the stage and
dancing to it.. as well as a few other songs.. it just would seem to put
a distinct mark on those songs to me.. especially if they didn't dance to
*all* of them.
Juan said: "my dear megan former barbie current apathetic terrorist"
rofl.. I like the way that sounds.. oh and Juan.. GET WELL
SOON!!!!!
Linda said: "I wouldn't have guessed that I'd be New Age"
very kewl. I never guessed I'd be the '97 Bonnie and Clyde girl..
*wonders if the original version of New Age has that "oh you little SICK
little fucks!" line in it...*
Bethey: that article of yours was pretty dang good! :)
okay I've gotta check the rest of my email, wash my hair, and get
dressed. :P
