Subject: Soundstage DVD / VHS Official Purchase Info & Link

Hi Everyone,

There seems to be a lot of buzz on how to get a copy of the (OUTSTANDING!!!)
Tori Soundstage show. After checking this link (I forget who provided it -
props to you!!!)

http://www.pbs.org/wttw/soundstage/merch.htm

I called this phone number

1-800-237-1100

and was told by the very helpful Dana that they are TAKING ORDERS for the
Tori Amos Soundstage show!!! She told me that they were taking credit card
numbers and names, but not charging anything to the cards yet, in
anticipation of the production being made available soon. This is not a
guarantee that it will be officially released, but she seemed to indicate
that this was a very good sign. YEAH!!!!!

The cost would be $24.95, INCLUDING SHIPPING via UPS (no PO Boxes...).
($19.95 + $5.00 shipping)

Of course I love the whole networking thingy of these lists (especially
Tori-Boot!!!), but it's been my understanding that something comercially
available should be sourced officially, right? Goddess Nadyne, please
correct me if I'm wrong on that... Anyway, it's public television after
all, your money would go toward MORE Soundstage shows and the like, and hey,
I'm pretty sure those guys have the equipment to make a perfect copy for us
all. I didn't ask about VHS, but it's one of the options when you call the
800 number.

So there you have it, let's all NAIL PBS AND DANA WITH ORDERS TODAY so they
know we're a force to be reckoned with! 1-800-237-1100

Have fun kiddies!

Johnny :)

aloooooooooHA! I got my hair done red yesterday.. and I love it.
:D my hairdresser told me the name of the colors she used to mix it up to
make my red.. and she said they were: Roxy Red, Bonfire, and Chili..
very.. fiery, no? :D I absolutely LOVE it. :)

Greg said: "I had just discovered Enya - the slight bit of peace I got
while living in the dorms - and one of her friends had told her that Tori
sounded like Enya. To this day I don't get the association, but anyway
..."
I think that Tori and Enya sound alike to people because they
both have ethereal qualities to their voices. *nods* I really think
that's what it is.

Linda said: "I love thinking about Tori getting her groove on before the
show. On her birthday, no less. Ah, priceless."
hahah.. anybody see the PBS Soundstage episode where she was on?
she actually said at some point "this feels like making love under a
microscope." and then she turned to the audience and said "and I've
actually done that before." o_O I wonder what she means by that??

Bethey, good luck with the Peace Coalition thing, let us know how it
turns out at the end, PLEASE! :D

sayeth the Scotch: "$$$ Caught A Lite Subpoena digest $$$"
is it me or is it just fucking stupid that TORI is getting sued?
why can't the people suing just skip Tori and sue the RIGHT people?
*rolls eyes*
and I still can't believe she's 40. *shakes head* she certainly
doesn't look it. :D

so on that note... party naked!!

Sincerely, Cyndi S. Crawford

Subject: Virginia Beach show

Hi boys and girls! Here's my review of the Virginia Beach show.
The show in Virginia Beach was amazing. I liked Ben Folds when he first
came out a few years ago, but I fucking LOVE him now. He's incredible
live. He came out wearing a shiny pink pointy princess hat and cape
(Tash's?) and began to sing off key. "I can't sing in this shit!" he
said and tossed it away. I caught a glimpse of a man holding a little
girl on stage beside the sound equipment. She was wearing a shiney pink
dress. I think it was Tash. Hey, I could be wrong!? Anyone else catch
this? Ben got into some of his old stuff, and touched on the new. No
"Brick" though. Tori was amazing as usual. She seemed to be having alot
of fun. I'm sure you guys already know the set list by now. By the time
she played Merman, I'm tellin' ya, not a dry eye. And Siren and Space
Dog completely blew me away. The whole show had a really great
atmosphere.
When I left I felt like I'd just gotten a big hug. Heh, I always feel
like that after a Tori concert, though.

So....Cyndi prodded us to write...oh cyndi, my three tatttoos are a hippo on
the inside of my left ankle, a blue star on the inside of my right wrist and
a purple butterfly in flight on my lower back. so, now you know. the hippo
hurt the most...it was 15 minutes of sheer pain but it looks amazing. they
all do but the hippo is the absolute best. it has all this shading done.

i bought more underwear today. it's an addiction i have. i own more than 100
pairs. i bought six pairs today (two of them are scratch and sniff thongs,
how fun is that?!) and i almost bought more at VS. i also nearly bought days
of the week panties but they were spongebob squarepants and while they were
cute...I thought "Should someone who is nearly 25 years old own those?" I
did not buy them.

but this post is not about my underwear collection.

Wednesday i went to the football game to watch us kick sacramento state's
ASS. i saw a guy with a shirt that said "spread your beaver." hahahhaha.
it's really interesting going to a school that has a mascot that is a slang
for the vagina. last year when we played USC, i was like "great, the condoms
are playing the vaginas." trojans and beavers.

but this post is not about sports.

this guy that beat up a few people in my house got kicked out by the cops
and he got back in which really worries me. i'm afraid that he will hurt
other people also. i don't know why the university housing system let him
in. i think they thought he was finished with all his counseling but i
really worry that he could physically or emotionally hurt other people. my
job this year in my house is to help my roommate fine people that don't do
their jobs. what if he gets mad and comes after us? i think it's an adequate
worry. i had to file a complaint against him last year because of something
he did to my friend. anyway, i think all i can do is wait to see how things
work out. i hope things go okay this year. last year someone wrote the n
word on this guy's board. he said it at this house meeting and some people
started crying, it was awful. i hope that this year the morale is higher. i
don't understand why if you are racist or sexist why you would live in a
co-op on campus. you live with 65 people in a co-ed house. don't live in an
atmosphere like that if you go in thinking "i hate this kind of people or
this kind" etc. it's really ignorant.

I saw Le Divorce last night. that movie is crazy. If you compare it to a
tree, the divorce is the trunk and it branches out in about 6 different
directions. it's absolutely ridiculous.

i'm gonna go back to chillin like bobo dylan,
jessica

Happy Labor Day - Now, Get a Job (A letter from Michael Moore)

Greetings Friends,

For his part, George W. Bush will spend Labor Day doing what he does best
not really working. Instead of protecting the country (I'll have much more
to say on that in the coming weeks) or addressing the nation's floundering
economy, he'll be raising money for his re-election campaign in Ohio.

Bush is on pace to raise almost $200 million in time for the Republican
primaries where his only competition will be his own dismal record. In
Minnesota this past Tuesday, Bush raised $1.4 million by giving a 24-minute
speech. That's about $60,000 for each minute of "work." By contrast, the
weekly salary of the average American worker is a staggering $616.

As Ron Eibensteiner, chairman of the Minnesota Republican Party, left the
event in St. Paul, he was met by hundreds of demonstrators. Being the
dignified, freedom-loving, compassionate conservative we all wish we could
be, Eibensteiner leaned over a police barricade toward the protestors and
yelled, "GET A JOB!"

It was a positive, uplifting message to America. The Minnesota Republican
Party isn't going to do anything to turn the economy around, and Bush
hasn't done anything in almost three years in office. The best any of them
can do is yell at people.

In the past year, 700,000 people were added to the list of unemployed. The
number of people out of work for half a year or more is up 28%. Thanks to
"Welfare to Work" (and Bill Clinton), July of 2003 saw 43.8% of the
unemployed lose their state support even though they still could not find a
job‹a record high. Since Bush took over the country, roughly 2.5 million
jobs have simply evaporated.

Bush and the Republicans are going to need every cent of that $200,000,000
to campaign against an increasingly angry nation of temps and burger
flippers! In fact, he might need more, which is one good way to explain the
Republican's recent attempt to paint Bush as an 'underdog.'

"Democrats and their allies," Bush's campaign chairman Marc Racicot wrote
to super-rich Republicans, "will have more money to spend attacking the
president during the nomination battle than we will have to defend him."
Obviously Bush and his team have a problem with math that extends beyond
the $400 billion deficit we'll have by the end of this year (and the
projected $6 trillion deficit we will have amassed ten years from now under
Bush's guidance). If you look at the campaign fundraising so far, you see
that Bush has already raised $35 million. The closest Democratic candidate,
John Kerry, doesn't even have half that. Does the Bush campaign know
something we don't about where the Democrats are hiding all that money?

And who has been giving Bush all this money in a time of prolonged economic
downturn? Why, the companies that trade in money, of course! Of the top
twenty contributor's to the Bush campaign, twelve are finance companies.
With more than a year to go until the election, his top contributor,
Merrill Lynch, has already given $282,250. Doesn't it seem just a little
strange that the companies which SHOULD be suffering the most in Bush's
destroyed economy, would not only want to keep Junior around, but then get
together and pump millions into his reelection campaign?

As for the Bush protestors in Minnesota, and the unemployed across the
country, and the millions who only make minimum wage, and the 40 million
who don't have health insurance: if you can't rake in $60,000 a minute ‹ or
if you can't even manage the $616 weekly American average‹there's only one
thing left for you to do this Labor Day: GET A JOB!

Find a temp agency. Go to Wal-Mart. Join the Army (Lord knows we'll be in
Iraq for a while, and that'll be one handsome, steady paycheck).

Or apply for work at the Minnesota Republican Party's office. Here's their
email address: info@mngop.com. Send them your resume and a nice letter
telling them you've decided to take their advice to "GET A JOB"‹and you're
coming to work for them!

But whatever you do, you really must quit your whining.

You are scaring the "President."

Yours,

Michael Moore
