Subject: some help, please?

        okay, I know I'm not the only one who is, to say the least, a
little bit disappointed in what Epic is doing for Tori. lack of
promotion, two crappy videos (put to good songs, mind you) and so on.
        and I know a lot of people who are making posts here on occasion
have been disappointed with her work (whether it was SW, TBK or both) as
well, so.. well lemme just get to the point..
        I made an LJ post about this whole lack-of-promotion thing, and
I'm not getting very much help from anyone on my friends list, so I'm
going to ask in here--or rather, I'll just paste the LJ post that I made
in here for everyone to read:

I, as a Tori Amos fan, am fucking sick and fed up with the shitty
promotion that her record labels (both Atlantic and Sony) have been doing
for her.

and to be honest, I think she needs to dump their asses and go through
us--the fans--for what the record label WON'T do.

you know.. music videos.. tour/TV/concert performances/appearances..
album releases.. and everything in between.

I'm very much tempted to fire off a petition to pass around the
Toriphile/Ears-With-Feet community for signatures.

and I'm not just being dumb and goofy here, you know, I'm dead fucking
serious. the Sweet The Sting video, for example, could have been a
million times better if I'd directed (and edited) the damn thing!

need I say more? I'm fed up with the shitty promotion she's getting, no
matter what record label she's on. needless to say, I think all major
record labels need to choke on their own piss and die. not the people,
mind you, the CORPORATIONS that said people work for.

yes, I'm a bit pissed off in regards to this, so humor me.

        need I say more? what can I do? I'm sitting here trying to rack
my brain enough to decide on what to do--whether to fire up a petition or
just write letters and encourage other people to do the same, but I don't
even know where to begin. or maybe I do, but I can't think of it right
now.
        can ANYBODY help me here? Tori doesn't deserve this crap and I
want to help make it not be such a shitty situation. she signed onto Epic
to get away from Atlantic's crappy treatment, and she's not getting
treated much better, at least in terms of promotion, and I'll say it
again--the Sweet The Sting video made me want to weep because I very much
could have done it better. argh!
        so can ANYONE help me out here? anybody?
