Hola mes amies:

In the past three months I have:

1. Got a Job.
2. Got a Car.
3. Paid bills for the first time in my life.
4. Quit the job.
5. Explored the variety of office attire available to me from my nearest
walmart.
6. Gotten over my fear of driving.
7. Joined Netflix.  Fell in love with netflix.  LOVE LOVE LOVE netflix.
8. Discovered how much I really hate the sight of other people's spit.
9. Found my most favorite salad dressing ever (Ginger!).
10. Read 20398402398402384023948308 books, mostly involving sassy older
women and their love lives.... and sometimes superheroes.  And spiders.
Anansi Boys, anyone?
11. Became enamoured with cherry tomatoes.
12. Became disgusted with Shop N Save.
13. Completely forgot to post to this list.

...So hello all.  How are the Toriphiles doing?  One of the things I like
about Tori is that her music is great to drive to whenever I have a
headache.  Her earlier stuff, anyway.  But her music is bad to drive to
whenever I want to stay awake.  Whenever I need to stay awake, I listen to
"Queen of the Damned" soundtrack.  Damn I love that movie.

Also, still reigning as the greatest movie ever made ever?  Run Lola Run.
If you haven't seen it, you must!  Rent!  Buy!  Worship!  It's the most
awesome movie ever and makes me want to dye my hair.

Subject: SIBL and Jill Tracy?

(Disclaimer: I haven't been following the list for a while, so don't
know if this has been discussed already.  A pointer to where it can
be found in the archives would be appreciated.)

After hearing an intersting voice on the "Hearts of Space" show last
week, some online searching found that others also found that Jill
Tracy's music has some similarities with Tori's earlier phase.

But what bothered me was that she has been more prominently featured
on the "Songs Inspired By Literature (SIBL)" site.  See the summary
at:

Jill Tracy is listed there, but Tori is not.  Using the search at:

http://artistsforliteracy.org/display/famous.php

does find Tori's "Cornflake Girl", but that is from quite a while
ago, and practically every song Tori does has a literary basis.

Has there been any effort to get more of her songs entered?
