WHY do I get these inspirations AFTER MIDNIGHT??? anyway..
guys--do you ever take transfer paper and print up a picture of Tori
(maybe with added text and whatnot) and then iron it to a shirt for a
concert etc?? I'm curious. I'm considering doing this for whenever Tori
comes to Atlanta. What do you guys think? (and by the way.. I could
suuuuuure use any advice you have for me. I'm still a "newlywed" EWF.
lol.. so.. advice? pretty please? :) )

Subject: so vain
That is Mick Jagger on "You're So Vain," though he's not credited on the
album. The big question about that song at the time, though, was who it
was *about*, and Jagger being on it (and not credited) made a lot of
people think it might be about him.
The curiosity certainly made people interested, and helped sell the
single, but Simon admitted a while later that the song was actually about
Warren Beatty.
Speaking of people being so vain, just remember that Tori is only a human
being person and she ain't always perfect. Maybe Epic had a Botox clause
in the contract. I'll bet she'd look a lot better and more interesting
without it, though.
Patti Smith obviously makes *no* effort to hide her age, and that only
adds to her appeal and her power.
Bethany asked:
> one more thing: can anyone recommend a Sleater-Kinney album?
I asked a friend (a maniacal S-K fan) and he said, "Buy all of them!
Immediately!"
When I explained that this might not be possible, he said it was difficult
to choose, sort of like, "which Beatles album should I own?" but finally
he was willing to admit that the current album, "One Beat," might be a
good place to start.
As B/4,

Subject: baltimore sun mention
scarlet's walk is mentioned in a baltimore sun article which runs down the
coming fall's releases. amusingly, the headline is "New music from troubled
divas, other hit makers", yet the text of the article has nothing to do
with tori at all. guess she's not the troubled diva that the press once
thought she was. all the article says about tori is that scarlet's walk is
her first release for epic and that it's out on october 29th.
the article was picked up by various other knight ridder/tribune papers,
including ctnow.com <url:
http://www.ctnow.com/entertainment/tv/bal-li.fallcds12sep12.story >. their
value-added contribution? a poll where you can vote for which album you
will rush out to buy this fall. woo!

Yeah Cyndi, that would be very interesting if your dreams could be recorded
and then you could watch them. Some of the ones I have I wouldn't want to
see again though...but some of them, I would want to.
Hey, are you Cyndi Crawford, the model? lol

since others posted in that thread saying that the theater was still saying
the sale date was the 21st, i called the box office and was told the same
thing: that it is the 21st and that the sale date has not changed. so,
either the original poster was given incorrect information or the date has
changed and the several box office workers didn't get the memo. guess we'll
just have to wait and see.
there is still no mention of this show on tickets.com (the oakdale's online
vendor) or clear channel (the owners of the oakdale).

okay, the saga continues...
i got a postcard in the mail today from the oakdale theater. the front is a
the hair-fluttering-in-the-wind picture of tori with her name in a rather
odd font <url:
http://atforumz.com/attachment.php?s=&attachmentid=8341&postid=2117116 >
(think that link will work). on the back, it gives the following information:
tori amos
saturday november 16
careerbuilder.com oakdale theater
tickets on sale september 28 at 10am
log onto ctnow.com for tickets
interestingly, the "28" is actually marker written over "21st". so, i
called the oakdale again. the upcoming shows recorded message still says
september 21st -- but it still hasn't been updated. when i got through to a
human, she confirmed that the on-sale date was changed yesterday and is now
the 28th.
so, it seems the date *has* changed.

Title: If People Could Be Eaten
If people could be eaten,
Maybe virtue flavors best
So that the sinner's sausage
Is distressing to digest
And maybe then the pieces
Of a priest are highly prized
And sold for absurd prices
All depending how they're sized
And maybe God is hungry
And that's why He's often said
That in place of all the sinners
He likes holy men instead
So that way, inside heaven
There is but an iron pan
Filled with chopped tomatoes
And some strips of sauteed man
If that's the case, my theory
Should indeed make me esteemed
For I would not be eaten
Nor flambeed or stewed or creamed
Although I've tried my hardest
To improve my holy score
The awful fact remains
That I am rotten to the core
How Now, Brown Cow?
